Custom Demo & Dismantling was proud to complete a detailed and highly controlled demolition of a Chick-fil-A location in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. This project required the manual dismantling of the building to carefully preserve three existing structural walls, which were supported in place using custom shoring systems throughout the process.

Due to site constraints and the integration of the existing walls into future construction, our team disassembled the structure by hand, ensuring precision and minimizing impact to the surrounding components. In addition to building removal, we were tasked with cutting and extracting the existing concrete slab and footings, as well as performing selective asphalt and concrete removal to meet the redevelopment plan’s requirements.

Working in a busy urban corridor like South End required tight coordination, attention to detail, and an emphasis on safety and cleanliness. This project highlighted our ability to manage complex, small-footprint demolition work while maintaining the structural integrity of existing features for future reuse.
