Custom Demo & Dismantling was proud to lead a challenging, multi-phase selective demolition project at a Ford dealership in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, supporting a major renovation and vertical expansion. This project required strategic planning, close coordination with other trades, and precise execution across both phases to ensure safety, minimize disruption, and meet strict scheduling goals.

Phase 1 began with a full asbestos abatement, carried out in accordance with environmental regulations and safety protocols. Once abatement was complete, our team performed a complete interior gut, carefully removing non-structural elements while preserving key components for the building’s upcoming transformation.

Phase 2 was more technically demanding and began with the shoring of the existing exterior walls to support structural integrity during the removal of the concrete T-panel roof system. To execute this safely, we brought in a crane to lift and remove the roof panels, which were then transported off-site for reuse, supporting the client’s sustainability goals.

Additional work during this phase included creating masonry openings, selective site demolition, and the complete removal of the existing roof structure to accommodate the dealership’s vertical expansion. The project pushed our crew to adapt to new challenges daily—from limited access areas to delicate structural removals—all of which were handled with care, expertise, and efficiency.

Despite the complexity of the job, we completed both phases on time and under budget, delivering another successful result through our commitment to precision, teamwork, and problem-solving in the field.
